Wizards of Waverly Place: Alex vs Alex (Recap)

When I was younger I used to watch Wizards of Waverly Place, and I heard about the new movie/episode that came out after a year (?) so I had to watch it.

In The Wizards Return: Alex Vs. Alex  some things never change. Justin will always be the golden child Max will always be delightfully stupid, and Alex’s spells will always make a huge mess.

At the beginning of the episode we see Alex talking to the crystals, telling them that it isn't her fault about almost destroying the world. She asks them to send her at the beginning where it all started so that they see they got the wrong wizard. 

Then we see the Russo family making a party for Justin because he is coming for Wiz Tech. Instead of Justin, his "friend" Dominic shows up. He tells the Russo's that just couldn't make it because he is busy. Mason gets jealous because Dominic "flirts" (It wasn't much of flirting) with Alex. After Alex gets pressured about not being a good child by her parents because she, instead of going by an airplane along with her family to Italy, decides to create a door to Italy. Tired of being criticized for being inadequate, Alex magically cast out all of her “bad parts” into an evil version of herself on the highly anticipated special. Evil Alex was trapped in a mirror but with a little help from Dominic evil Alex was set free. Evil Alex zipped off to Italy, where the entire Russo clan — minus Justin — was enjoying a nice family reunion, and strategically trapped everyone, including Mason, inside her magic charm bracelet.

That’s when Good Alex discovered Dominic’s big secret: He’s actually the nephew of Gorog — leader of the Angels of Darkness — and he planned to rid the entire world of mortals. In order to get her family back, Good Alex agreed to power up Dominic’s evil machine, which landed her behind bars. A surprisingly judgmental group of giant crystals sentenced Alex to death for her misdeeds, but just when Alex thought all hope was lost, a wolf’d-out Mason sprung her from her cell. The only way for Alex to destroy her evil doppelganger and Dominic’s machine, was to destroy her powers completely, which she did. In true Wizards fashion, the entire messy ordeal was neatly taken care of in the final moments. Though defeating Evil Alex wasn’t enough to earn her powers back, her friendship with Harper was. The crystals gave her Alex one last chance to be good, and she promised they’d be seeing her again someday soon.
